The Recovery Process

Step 1: Assessment & Intake

You’ll meet with our intake team to discuss your medical history, substance use, mental health, and goals. This comprehensive evaluation informs your personalized treatment plan.

Step 2: Medical Detoxification (if needed)

If you’re physically dependent on alcohol, opioids, benzodiazepines, or other substances, we provide medically supervised detox with medications to ease withdrawal and keep you safe and comfortable.

Step 3: Active Treatment

You’ll engage in individual and group therapy, family sessions, skill-building, and wellness activities. You’ll work with your therapist to understand your addiction, process trauma, and build coping tools for lasting recovery.

Step 4: Transition & Aftercare Planning

Before discharge, we develop a detailed aftercare plan that may include ongoing outpatient therapy, support group referrals (AA, NA, SMART Recovery, etc.), relapse prevention strategies, and alumni resources.

Step 5: Ongoing Support

Recovery is a lifelong process. We encourage continued connection through alumni groups, peer support, and additional therapy as needed to maintain sobriety.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is a typical drug rehab program?
Inpatient programs usually last 28–90 days; outpatient programs vary from weeks to several months depending on your needs. Research shows that longer treatment correlates with better outcomes, but we work with you to find the right duration for your recovery.
Will I have to take medication in drug rehab?
Not necessarily, but for certain addictions (opioids, alcohol, benzodiazepines), medications can significantly reduce cravings and withdrawal, making recovery more sustainable. We discuss all options with you during assessment and respect your preferences.
Can I keep my job while in outpatient rehab?
Yes. Our outpatient and online IOP programs are specifically designed to allow you to maintain employment and family responsibilities. We offer flexible scheduling, including evening and weekend sessions.
What if I have relapsed before or failed other rehab programs?
Relapse is a common part of recovery, not a failure. Many people need multiple treatment episodes or a different approach to find lasting sobriety. We specialize in treating people with prior treatment attempts and adjust our approach based on what didn't work before.
Is there a drug test when I arrive?
Yes. We conduct a standard drug screening at intake for safety and medical purposes. This helps us understand your current substance use and any co-occurring issues.
Can I bring family to visits or family therapy?
Absolutely. Family involvement is a crucial part of recovery. We schedule regular family sessions and encourage loved ones to visit during approved hours (inpatient programs).
What happens after I leave rehab?
Aftercare is essential. We provide a discharge plan that may include referrals to outpatient therapy, support groups (AA, NA, SMART Recovery), alumni groups, and emergency relapse-prevention resources. Many clients transition from inpatient to our outpatient or online IOP program for continued care.
Do you treat dual diagnosis (addiction and mental health)?
Yes. Many people struggle with both addiction and conditions like depression, anxiety, PTSD, or bipolar disorder. Our integrated approach addresses both simultaneously with medications, therapy, and psychiatric care.
Is treatment confidential?
Yes. All medical records and treatment information are protected under federal confidentiality laws (42 CFR Part 2) and HIPAA. We take your privacy seriously.
